The Batman book doesn\u2019t belong to the library. The photographer put it there to take a picture.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/e99c45a59b1e56facbab2fbf2b4368a5\/tumblr_inline_nmvu6u3rOs1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/f43171b88b5185e309ec0cbc9a381589\/tumblr_inline_nmvu93EfBr1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Once again making hasty assumptions, Wright?<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/e666fd2432bed7545661d42de2c8ce14\/tumblr_inline_nmvum7tdul1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>First of all, I\u2019d like to direct the court\u2019s attention to this particular spot, in the top right-hand corner.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/6d935e89445267524e2cec6740c317b7\/tumblr_inline_nmvumgTXlW1rnvb4a_540.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Notice how the words are <b>blocking the top of the Batman book.<\/b><\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/fc7b1cfa0722d72d95eee8c015ef10c4\/tumblr_inline_nmvuv15Zyk1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>With this in mind, how can you claim that there is\u00a0<b>\u201cno such paper sticking out of the Batman comic\u201d<\/b>?!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/cc81f14bd32c8bca75c2311dbe64db50\/tumblr_inline_nmvyiyv8l31syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Say whaaaat?<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/2bc60dd0436c637d313670712599b42b\/tumblr_inline_nmvyjmGzr71syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Well uhm<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/ced7e4214b2993dc418b06a47102cb3f\/tumblr_inline_nmvyk4BJfJ1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Look at the size of the paper pieces, they\u2019re all sticking pretty far out.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/bfd32b589c4911b53890599646301190\/tumblr_inline_nmvyolssQH1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>If there was paper in the batman comic, it would be big enough to stick up over the text.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/f0af22a758ae2d0b5cf645b64334f060\/tumblr_inline_nmvyy9X3v71syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>And while gravity does exist, it probably won\u2019t make the paper do a 90 degree turn and just lean horisontally left at the middle.<\/p>\n<p><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/191b40b611f5623feb96a4b226902678\/tumblr_inline_nmw1rprQeY1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Still grasping for straws, Wright?<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/2b303c3f93c0909a9031be93e6789b37\/tumblr_inline_nmw0k340sA1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Hypothetically, if there were a paper there, this picture would not be able to prove its presence. I\u2019ve taken the liberty of drawing a diagram to illustrate my point. We are faced with three possibilities. It is possible that<b> (1) the paper was simply tucked in deeper<\/b> than the others.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/1e37c6f879ed7e184f8cee3bea9eb0be\/tumblr_inline_nmw0toNSuR1rnvb4a_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Paper is a soft material, Wright. It\u2019s not unreasonable for it to do a <b>(2)\u00a090 degree turn.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/ff3ee3562b7124fdcf2c68689a4e8fc1\/tumblr_inline_nmw1wlbIRQ1rnvb4a_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Or perhaps,\u00a0<b>(3) a paper does not exist there at all.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Either way, you cannot prove your client innocent without sufficient evidence. \u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/e666fd2432bed7545661d42de2c8ce14\/tumblr_inline_nmw1ssrQyh1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Which, of course, is impossible thanks to the obtrusive words.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/e99c45a59b1e56facbab2fbf2b4368a5\/tumblr_inline_nmvu6u3rOs1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/37f2246cf3d7cfa54de166067f4fc033\/tumblr_inline_nmpe1o0XQ21syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/0e9e8079c1d2603d3ae01fbdfd395dff\/tumblr_inline_nmwf7zdOJY1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>I\u2019m sorry Edgeworth.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/e1aed0020e396dd6ed04e4bb8fc4390c\/tumblr_inline_nmwf9jHOcF1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>I concede that I can\u2019t disprove theory 1<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/7192573a9dbb3344ec34e2c58d4cdb5b\/tumblr_inline_nmwfb2YHYc1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>But the image you submited for theory 2 is contradictory.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/ced7e4214b2993dc418b06a47102cb3f\/tumblr_inline_nmvyk4BJfJ1syxdqa_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Look at the tilt of the other papers. They clearly prove how much the paper would tilt.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/7ca9460448672d521a0655e84e6bfe27\/tumblr_inline_nmwfezabrB1syxdqa_540.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>And theory 3 is my point! It doesn\u2019t matter which direction the paper is going because it\u2019s impossible to prove it even exists!<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/3f726cdc0b76a2696f277802f59383ad\/tumblr_inline_nmwjil4JwG1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Those theories are all the same! We do not have enough information to prove them. There could be an infinite amount of papers in there for all we know. I simply presented them only so that the court could better understand your baseless conjecture!<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/a25676187a18ce3de3418309817cca3b\/tumblr_inline_nmwjq7SuIE1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>\u2026 I suppose the order of the books do seem out of the ordinary. However, therein lies not just one possibility. Clearly, those are Japanese graphic novels, also known as\u00a0\u201cmanga\u201d. And the Batman comic book is a graphic novel, too, no?<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/ab4de505b92cc5d1d7c087815702c29e\/tumblr_inline_nmwk24ZWmz1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Seeing as it currently has only graphic novels in the shelf, it is possible that any other novels have simply not yet been restocked. Asserting whether or not this effect was deliberate is useless\u2013 there is no way of knowing if the photographer and the captioner are the same person, let alone their involvement in this picture.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/fc7b1cfa0722d72d95eee8c015ef10c4\/tumblr_inline_nmwl9nN57l1rnvb4a_500.gif\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Face it Wright, you can\u2019t prove any of these groundless accusations!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Did everyone just ignore the library sticker?<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/2eec3e26a5b9a4438903591a64208a6f\/tumblr_inline_nmwn2cKOOs1sptc1c_540.png\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I brought this post up to my friends in chat and had to point out a few things, because it\u2019s highly likely that these books are from different libraries. Here\u2019s why I believe that:<\/p>\n<p>1) Most libraries won\u2019t use YA <i>and<\/i>\u00a0Teen in a call number. YA and Teen are the same thing. There would have to be a standard practice to use one or the other. (I\u2019m not saying this is true of all libraries, but it is odd to see.)<\/p>\n<p>2) The labels are not attached the same. On the NANA books, the labels were affixed sideways. If it was the same library, the label on the Batman book should be facing the same way. This <i>could<\/i>\u00a0be a matter of two different people doing the labels, but again, most libraries have some kind of standard practice.<\/p>\n<p>3) It\u2019s not easy to tell, but the labels and the font both appear to be different between the two. The labels could just be that that was what was on hand (lord knows I\u2019d used what was available in my days as a librarian), so that\u2019s not a super good indication.<\/p>\n<p>4) Capitalisation. The text on the labels of the NANA books are in all caps. Not so with the Batman book.<\/p>\n<p>5) And finally, the NANA books all have a Graphic Novel sticker. Batman does not.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry for bringing this up on an otherwise funny post.
