It\u2019s Ursus arctos horribilis. \u201cursus\u201d meaning bear in Latin and \u201carctos\u201d, bear in Greek.<\/p>\n

so essentially a grizzly is a \u201chorrible bear bear.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also! The Arctic Circle is named for the bears, not the other way \u2018round. It\u2019s the Circle With Bears In, and the Antarctic is the Circle (and continent) Away From Bears.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
