Your fic does not have to literally take place in the 22nd century, but it should have elements of sci-fi. What\u2019s the world like in a few hundred (or thousand) years? How do Sherlock and John factor into it? Is the future bright and amazing or is it dark and grim?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Still struggling? We\u2019ve had some great examples of sci-fi recently, so here are some ideas:<\/p>\n<p>1.) A bright and glorious future full of wonders (think 1950s sci-fi; <i>Star Trek,\u00a0Tomorrowland, <\/i>solar punk)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2.) A future where people struggle to survive (anything post-apocalyptic or dystopian; <i>Mad Max<\/i>, <i>Fallout<\/i>, <i>The Hunger Games, <\/i>cyberpunk)<\/p>\n<p>3.) The remnants of a once glorious empire, wasted away to nothing.
