{"id":147002,"date":"2015-07-05T04:34:21","date_gmt":"2015-07-05T04:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.merindab.com\/private\/2015\/07\/05\/so-thanks-to-ageofzero-i-actually-looked-up-and\/"},"modified":"2015-07-05T04:34:21","modified_gmt":"2015-07-05T04:34:21","slug":"so-thanks-to-ageofzero-i-actually-looked-up-and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.merindab.com\/private\/2015\/07\/05\/so-thanks-to-ageofzero-i-actually-looked-up-and\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/tmblr.co\/mSHuUDcxf_inaRT5DAWuivQ\" target=\"_blank\">ageofzero<\/a> I actually looked up and watched the first episode of\u00a0\u201cSherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century\u201d because I\u2019ve never seen it (it\u2019s on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dxmoOUsZzOs&amp;list=PL0ACFBC09C84127E7\" target=\"_blank\">youtube<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Thoughts so far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I appreciate that Lestrade is a chick (standard badass hot lady cop of course)<\/li>\n<li>Why the hell isn\u2019t her first name a G? Who decided it should be Beth?<\/li>\n<li>The opening Reichenbach scene was cheesetastic<\/li>\n<li>The cyborg\u2019s name is Watson but it\u2019s not yet looking like him, but I know it\u2019s coming, bowler hat and all.<\/li>\n<li>Reading John Watson\u2019s secret diaries (which have been apparently passed down by the Lestrades) is what turned the robot into Watson. Oh dear.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019m amused that both Holmes and Moriarty are running around in their Victorian garb and that for the most part Holmes is taking everything in stride.<\/li>\n<li>Sherlock Holmes was apparently preserved in <i>honey.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Sherlock Holmes looks like a weird, blonde, animated version of David Tennant and it\u2019s throwing me off.<\/li>\n<li>I kinda want to know more about this society. Brainwashing crime away? Everyone\u2019s DNA is on file?
