The Doctor had been right, Jack mused, picking boredly at his nails. Prisons all started looking alike after a while. Unfortunately, the guards<\/i>\u00a0weren\u2019t similarly\u2026similar at all. These ones had not only taken his vortex manipulator, but had effectively strip-searched him. Not even the compact laser had managed to escape that<\/i>, much to his chagrin. So, here he was.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHarkness.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jack looked up, raising an eyebrow at his guard.\u00a0\u201cYeah?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYour husband\u2019s here to see you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Husband?<\/i> he wondered. Which husband?<\/i>\u00a0But he kept a bland smile on his face as he replied,\u00a0\u201cWell, I suppose I\u2019m gonna have a lot of explaining to do, huh?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The guard actually cracked a smirk at that.\u00a0\u201cYeah, good luck. He looks pissed<\/i>.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The door practically flew open, and\u2026well<\/i>. Jack had forgotten just how damn sexy Castiel looked right before he smote someone. Unfortunately, Jack was on the receiving end of that glare.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cJack,\u201d Castiel growled, storming over to the bars.\u00a0\u201cYou have two minutes to come up with an explanation for this.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cUh\u2026\u201d Jack was having trouble thinking past the mental image of Castiel just bursting in and fucking him against the wall then and there.\u00a0\u201cI\u2026got drunk?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI told you I\u2019ve had enough<\/i>\u00a0of this behavior!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jack shifted into a more submissive posture, taking advantage of the fact that they hadn\u2019t bothered giving him clothes after the strip search, and pouted. Castiel blinked, and even the guard took a step back.\u00a0\u201cAww, honey,\u201d he purred, hoping that this was what Castiel was planning,\u00a0\u201cI promise I\u2019ll do better. Cross my heart.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Castiel stared at him long enough for the human\u2019s bravado to wilt.\u00a0\u201c\u2026You had better,\u201d was all he said before turning to the guard.\u00a0\u201cI have paid my husband\u2019s bail. May I take him home now?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Twenty minutes later, Jack was strolling out of prison with Castiel\u2019s hand clamped firmly around his wrist.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026Cas?\u201d he said softly once they were out of earshot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, Jack.\u201d Castiel still hadn\u2019t let go. Jack was starting to suspect he\u2019d bruise at this rate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The angel glanced back at him, a tiny smirk twitching at the corners of his mouth.\u00a0\u201cYou owe me,\u201d he said, with a husky undertone that sent shivers down Jack\u2019s spine.\u00a0\u201cNow, we should go before they realize that I was bluffing the entire time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jack\u2019s laughter echoed in the space they left, along with the whoosh of wings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
