Yes, compared to some injustices faces by gays, it may seem rather trivial. HOWEVER, equality has to be done in steps and, if gays aren\u2019t even allowed to get married, how can we expect to treated equal in any other way? It is similar to Rosa Parks\u2019 bus boycott. You could say that wanting to sit wherever you like on a bus was trivial in comparison to the problems black people faced in other parts of the world, but her work helped to accelerate the movement to end segregation.
