It takes me an hour to go 11 miles on my commute into work.\u00a0 And fun fact: it takes EIGHTEEN HOURS to drive through Texas going east to west. That\u2019s one state.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I told my friend in English I was moving from New York to Texas. When I told her that was a 30 hour drive she could hardly believe it. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As someone who lives in Texas I can verify this. When I went to Seattle in January \u00a0I was flabbergasted that I could get from the airport to downtown in 20 minutes or so. I was like\u00a0\u2018how?\u201d because I literally can\u2019t get across town here in 20 minutes, let alone to the next town.<\/p>\n
