Hannibal<\/a> <\/i>creator Bryan Fuller<\/a> has found his next mission: showrunner and co-creator of CBS\u2019 new Star Trek<\/a><\/b>\u00a0series.<\/p>\n

A longtime fan of science fiction, Fuller began his career writing for Star Trek: Voyager <\/i>(1997-2001) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/i> (1997).<\/p>\n

\u201cMy very first experience of \u2018Star Trek\u2019 is my oldest brother turning off all the lights in the house and flying his model of a D7 Class Klingon Battle Cruiser through the darkened halls. Before seeing a frame of the television series, the \u2018Star Trek\u2019 universe lit my imagination on fire,\u201d<\/i> said Fuller. \u201cIt is without exaggeration a dream come true to be crafting a brand new iteration of \u2018Star Trek\u2019 with fellow franchise alum Alex Kurtzman and boldly going where no \u2018Star Trek\u2019 series has gone before.\u201d<\/i><\/small><\/p>\n

The new series is set to bow on CBS in January 2017, then move to CBS\u2019 All Access digital subscription service. It will be the first original series to launch on a broadcast network but air primarily on an SVOD service.\u00a0<\/small><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
