Know this version is I think the edited one to follow the film\u2026.I think the dialogue was worse in the one we read\u2026maybe<\/p>\n<pre><b>\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tOh, you make it so difficult \n\t\tsometimes.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tI do, I really do. \u00a0You could be \n\t\ta little nicer, though.\n\t\t\t(he watches her \n\t\t\t reaction)\n\t\tCome on, admit it. \u00a0Sometimes you \n\t\tthink I'm all right.\n\nShe lets go of the lever and rubs her sore hand.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tOccasionally...\n\t\t\t(a little smile, \n\t\t\t haltingly)\n\t\t... when you aren't acting like \n\t\ta scoundrel.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\t\t(laughs)\n\t\tScoundrel? \u00a0Scoundrel? \u00a0I like \n\t\tthe sound of that.\n\nWith that, Han takes her hand and starts to massage it.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tStop that.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tStop what?\n\nLeia is flushes, confused.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tStop that! \u00a0My hands are dirty.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tMy hands are dirty, too. \u00a0What \n\t\tare you afraid of?\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\t\t(looking right \n\t\t\t into his eyes)\n\t\tAfraid?\n\nHan looks at her with a piercing look. \u00a0He's never looked more \nhandsome, more dashing, more confident. \u00a0He reaches out slowly and \ntakes Leia's hand again from where it is resting on a console. \u00a0He \ndraws it toward him.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tYou're trembling.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tI'm not trembling.\n\nThen with an irresistible combination of physical strength and \nemotional power, the space pirate begins to draw Leia toward him... \nvery slowly.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tYou like me because I'm a scoundrel.\n\t\tThere aren't enough scoundrels in \n\t\tyour life.\n\nLeia is now very close to Han and as she speaks, her voice becomes an \nexcited whisper, a tone completely in opposition to her words.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tI happen to like nice men.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tHAN\n<\/b>\t\tI'm a nice man.\n\n<b>\t\t\t\tLEIA\n<\/b>\t\tNo, you're not. \u00a0You're...\n\nHe kisses her now, with slow, hot lips. \u00a0He takes his time, as though \nhe had forever, bending her body backward. \u00a0She has never been kissed \nlike this before, and it almost makes her faint. \u00a0When he stops, she \nregains her breath and tries to work up some indignation, but finds it \nhard to talk.<\/pre>\n<p>Now imagine a 30 something teacher reading this aloud trying not to make it sound like a soft porno to a room of giggling 20 somethings\u2026.and he was giggling by the end of it too<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ladyknightthebrave: thirddeadlysin: spaceisprettycool: kaasknot: burglemyturts: I knew George Lucas had some issues writing dialogue, and yes the thing about early drafts is that they are bound to be pretty terrible, but Jesus I had no idea it\u2019d be this bad??
