But even though these things no longer have a purpose or even exist in the computing world, they\u2019re still the universally recognized symbol for \u201csave your work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s not just icons. There are terms that have outlasted the technology they described. Like when TV programs use the phrase \u201cweekly rewind,\u201d my kids never bat an eye because to them, \u201crewind\u201d just means to look back on something. To review it or play it again.
